In That Day the Words of the Book Shall Be Opened, Isaiah 29:18
Throughout the letter series we have expressed, from time to time, a need for all the scriptural keys which are found in all the writings of the men of God. We need the keys in the book misnomered pseudepigrapha and apocalyptic to understand even the canonically accepted works. We also said that we would show the agreement between those books, the law and prophets, and also the Now Testament writings. God does not think like men. He simply told the story of salvation over and over in each generation in a variety of ways. Plain words, living parables, scriptural parables, and the schematic design and function of the "atmospheric" heaven and this earth served His purposes. We needed to "know God" in order to understand His approach and teaching technique, Matthew 11:25-27. We found that God will tell the beginning and the end conditions of His works in both the beginning and the end. Brother Isaiah was given that little jewel of Wisdom, Isaiah 9-10, 44:6-8,46. God also mixes His words in the "midst", that is, Christ and the apostles spoke and wrote many dark parables, Matthew 13:10-16; Mark 4:13; John 16:12,25. Christ was not to show men the brightness of his light, but the parables he spoke caused his ministry to be "neither clear nor dark" and to be described as dimness because of the people's lack of perception, Isaiah 9:1-2; Zechariah 14:6-14. Therefore "no man knoweth the son", or you cannot understand the duty and work of Jesus except God should reveal it to you personally! Also, it was promised that the end would come in which all secrets of God and godliness would come to light, Matthew 10:26-27; I Timothy 3:16; Revelation 10:7. Prior to that time Paul said man's knowledge and understanding of God's high heavenly matters are at best only partial, I Corinthians 13:8-12. Failure to acknowledge that God has a time schedule at which to reveal things and holding tightly to "two day old partial manna" results in continued ignorance and fighting God Pharisee style. With these pointers illuminated by this letter series, God desired that you should partake of His "wedding supper" while in this life, or He desired you to taste the "good wine" held until the end to see that He is good to all mankind, Jeremiah 50:20, 51:61-64; Micah 4:6-7, 6:5, 7:18-19. Also, it was to be revealed that demons are exchanged as the ransom for the princes of God (Israel,) Isaiah 43:4-7, and that devils (idols) must die eternally for our sake even as we had to die naturally for sins they forced on us, Jeremiah 51:47-49. The revelation of the judgment of God with Christ to justify man and Pravuil the Holy Ghost to condemn demons was to coincide with the exposure of the powers of darkness and their works, Revelation 17:8 II Baruch 29:4.
Before we go further, let us look at what might have been a dilemma, a case of judgment by appearance, what could possibly be a problem for a Bible student without the guidance of the Spirit. Look at Jeremiah chapters and Daniel chapter 5, and compare that with II Baruch chapter 6. Since you accept the books of Jeremiah and Daniel, you might tend to believe II Baruch is "pseudepigrapha". But please remember Revelation 5:1-4, and Romans 11:33-34 fits all men like a glove, including all theologians. God must teach us His judgments as David learned, Psalm 119:33,38,63,97-104,126-128. You, too, have to be convinced of truth by the angels when you read divinely inspired works which are "sealed", Secrets 62:3, Luke 24:44-45; John 16:7-8; Revelation 5:5. Unless God chooses otherwise, we will stay blind when we read the Word, Isaiah 29:9-12. Understand II Peter 1:19-21, that the prophets wrote spiritual wisdom although it might appear "historical" or prophecy of natural things. Jesus, too, said simple things, but his word has spiritual depth, John 6:63. Now let's take spiritual eyesalve (Revelation 3:18) and look at the keys needed to unlock an "apparent" conflict between Jeremiah, Daniel, and Baruch, I Corinthians 2:13-16. The vessels of the temple were parables referring to the children of men, Jeremiah; Romans 9:20-24; II Timothy 2:19-21 chapter 9. Thus, Daniel, the three Hebrew boys, Esther, Mordecai, Nehemiah, Ezra, Zerubbabel, Haggai, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Zechariah, etc. were the good vessels of the temple. It was said in II Baruch chapter 6 that these vessels were received by the earth in order to preserve them until their appointed time in the end. This is true of all mankind. We were sent to the earth in every generation until God sends for each of us (and I feel safe to say in our lifetime God will call for us all,) Enoch 10:21,22, II Thessalonians 4:l6-18. This is the point where Jerusalem is delivered to be restored forever. Now take a casual look at Daniel chapter 5 and see how Belshazzar played a negative prophetical role to show how demons were quenching their thirst by polluting the vessels of the temple (bad figs of Jeremiah chapter 9) with bad wine (evil ways and works), Psalm 14:2-6; Jeremiah 51:7; Daniel 7:21-22; I Peter 5:8; Revelation 17:1-6. So our bodies form the cups of the temple (I Corinthians 6:19-20) through which demons have obtained food and drink, Matthew 12:43-45. To understand Baruch we needed the keys given to Paul in the beginning of the end, which was the first part of the middle. So II Baruch shines not only as prophecy but also as apocrypha or secret revelations in parable (now unsealed).
Now let us do a detailed illumination of a short work, Obadiah. On the surface it might look like a historical account of warfare and an impending threat of retaliation by God. Let us wear the true Spirit of God as spiritual eyeglasses this time and understand the spiritual objective of God's message, Isaiah 53:1; Ephesians 6:12.
OBADIAH
Obadiah 1:4 Devils, who like exalting themselves above us, the stars of God (Enoch 43, Isaiah 14:12-14), and live inside our bodies (clefts of the rock, Isaiah 51:1; I Peter 2:5), ARE SHORT IN SIZE (Enoch 19).
A. There are too many per man for each demon to have one man a piece (Zephaniah 3:8), but here is the accumulation of every evil spirit generation that were born down here, whereas God removed men of past ages, II Baruch chapters 53 and 69. So hell is remarkable. It is both expansive and yet crowded for demons. They must shrink down in order to hold on to our bodies (Ezekiel 38:16-18) to avoid falling continuously. The conditions of hell and how demons cope with it was expressed in the law in Deuteronomy 28:49-52 (Psalm 14; Matthew 12:43-45; I Peter 5:8).
B. Our bodies are the only earth demons can "tread" on (except animals,) Genesis 3:14-15, 13:15-16; Mark 16:18. Compare Obadiah 1:3 and the meaning of the rocks with III Hermas, Similitude IX:49-53,62,68. Men are called "lively stones".
Obadiah 1:5-9 As we said in other letters, Esau was a negative prophet expressing the role of Satan. Looking at the verses, we see the works of demons where: Edom inversed means DEMO(N). Esau means God saw Satan, HE-SA-U. Teman means enemy of the cross, N-A-ME of "V" referring to the whole kingdom of demons. God is amazing; look at Barnabas VIII:10-14 and I Infancy XX. also expresses that no demon will be saved, Isaiah 14:12,21-22, 47:1,7-9; Jeremiah 51:24-26.
Obadiah 1:10 God will destroy demons eternally for insuring and securing the destruction of our bodies (Genesis 15:13-14; Isaiah 10:5-7,24-27, Enoch 89:59-71, where the nations are ruled by devils, but all mankind represents Israel, God's princes). Observe how Jeremiah agrees with Obadiah, Jeremiah 51:35; Habakkuk 2:16-17.
Obadiah 1:11-14 These verses reveal that demons not only caused us to fall but traded possession of our bodies one to another, Jubilees 10:7,8, Joel 3:1-7; Matthew 12:43-45; John 8:31-36; II Timothy 2:26.
Obadiah 1:15 This verse expresses the consummation and punishment of devils, Enoch 16, II Baruch 69.
Obadiah 1:16 Refer to Isaiah 51:21-23; Jeremiah 25:12-29, II Baruch 13. Men's bodies were used in these prophecies to tell the spiritual end of the invisible kingdom that men cannot see.
Obadiah 1:17 Here Jacob's name is important. It is a code name meaning to "supplant" or to replace demons who lost the 7th heaven when Satan was cast down, Genesis 27:36, Books of Adam and Eve, "Vita" XVII (page 137), Isaiah 14:12, (Revelation 2:26-28 expressing our supplanting in the heaven Satan lost).
Obadiah 1:18 This verse shows that men will be transformed into the glory of the angels (Psalm 104:4; Zechariah 12:8; Luke 20:36) and become part of the heavenly army, (Isaiah 13:1-5; Joel 2:1-11) where they "watch over us" as "guardian angels" (III Baruch chapters 12 and 17). The battle of armageddon to a great degree is battle between these angels and demons for control of our thoughts and our lives, Barnabas XIV:3,4. Now you can understand Revelation 20:9, 21:2 as meaning the attempt to possess all men. We come down from God as newborn babes already upright and clothed with God's righteousness, and we are the kingdom that God rules, Enoch 10:21,22, Psalm 87; Ecclesiastes 7:29; Luke 17:20-21; John 18:36; Revelation 19:8, 21:3.
Obadiah 1:19-20 These verses express that the domain of the princes of God (Israel) will be in every heaven which all of Palestine represented which God gave to Abraham, Jubilees 8:8-22, Genesis 28:11-13. The Rock of Jacob's rest is the land of importance, III Hermas Similitude IX:13-23. That Rock signifies God, the foundation of Heaven. Possession of the nation in Palestine shows that we will possess the people as brothers and sisters in particular when we become guardian angels with power to control men's good thoughts, Isaiah 14:1-3, 60:1-12. The animals here are our brethren playing the role of gentiles while in this earth, Acts 10:11-16, Enoch 90:37,38, Psalm 49:20. Jerusalem here means heaven itself.
Obadiah 1:21 This refers to Revelation 2:26-27, where the transformed angels in heaven receive power as our good consciences and battle devils to control our actions, Psalm 149:5-9; Isaiah 30:29-32; Luke 15:10,21; Hebrews 12:1.
