Letter to Norene
Dear Norene,
Recent events happening in Jonestown, Guyana, have put pressure on the minds of people everywhere. Psychologists and sociologists are trying to analyze the situation to learn how such an event could occur. Some who knew Jones at earlier stages testified of the man's goodness while others castigated him. Those, whose religion was shaky, were really "shook up" at the news. Some lost what faith they seemed to have. You and I are aware of who the I cheerful Reaper is who holds the key of death. We are also aware of the significance of Hiram and Solomon's methods used in building the temple at Jerusalem. Timbers and stones were cut out and prefabricated so that not a hammer sound was heard at the construction site. What have we learned? They enacted spiritual carpentry, Isaiah 27:12-13; Amos 9:11; Zechariah 1:20-21. The King of Kings along with the King of Darkness have been hewing "lively stones" and the "trees of righteousness" ruined and trampled under the feet and claws of the "dragon". We must not despair and wonder if "all things work together for the good of them that love the Lord". I have just discussed one lens for the nearsighted who cannot see how it is possible. Another lens for an excellent set of binoculars is Luke 7:40-43, 15:20-24, 20:37-38. It is right for God to "build up" (Hebrews I 2:22-24) the trampled stars crushed by the dragon and He is just to show us His matchless love and mercy!! I love God, and He has shown me how His turning of the key of death in Jonestown removed many from beneath the dragon's claws. When God steps in between us and those we might think to condemn as "murderers", we find no man "dead" to His glorious justification of all! Isaiah 45:7,17,25, 54:17; Jeremiah 23:6-8. Cyanide was used as a stone saw, and since God "created the evil" circumstance as when Saul was vexed by the evil spirit, I disagree with earthly ignorance which accuses and condemns Jones! Look at Psalm 109:31; Revelation 12:10. I submit that only those men trained in the Heavenly judicial process are qualified and given power to judge the earth, Isaiah 55:8-12. As for the "backward judgment" of the earthly Pharisees, Isaiah 59:13-16, who attempt to hit Jones with stones, the "Justifier" of All says, "What is the chaff to the wheat?" Jeremiah 23:28. Let us rejoice that "He kills and makes alive", which event is simultaneous as two sides on a coin. No man has really killed because no man can. Praise God! He turns the key of death, Revelation 1:18, 6:8, and He only has that key in His hand. Blessed are all those who have "learned of me". Should the psycho-drama God caused Hiram and Solomon to enact go with its secret message '"sealed" to those who should be the lights of this world?
Glorify God!
