DEMONIC POSSESSION (CONTROL)
A man cannot think for himself because he is a spiritual baby. He must be taught and controlled by an independent spirit. Jeremiah 10:23: O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps. Isaiah 44:20: He feedeth on ashes: a deceived heart hath turned him aside, that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand? Daniel 8:11: Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down. Isaiah 59:14-15: And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter. Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the Lord saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment. Romans 3:11 There is none that understandeth. there is none that seeketh after God. Because Jesus knew men were possessed and could see and talk to the demons possessing them, he said these words: John 2:24-25, 5:34, 14:30, But Jesus did not commit himself unto them because he knew all men, And needed not that any, should testify of man: for he knew what was in man. But I receive not testimony from man: but these things I say that ye might be saved. Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me. Matthew 12:43-44: When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. Romans 7:16-18: If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me, but how to perform that which is good I find not. Daniel 7:21-22: I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them; Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom. Romans 8:18-21: For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. John 15:5: I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. Isaiah 10:4: Without me they shall bow down under the prisoners, and they shall fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still. I John 3:6: Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. Matthew 13:38: The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one. Jesus kept this knowledge away from the people because of their great fear and fleshy weakness. Mark 4:34: But without a parable spake he not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples. John 16:12,25: These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father. I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Jesus spoke words with two edges, sometimes to men of flesh and sometimes to the "invisible men of sin." We need to discern which words go to whom. Isaiah 7:14-15: Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good. Isaiah 53:11: He shall see of the travail of his soul. and shall he satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many: for he shall bear their iniquities. Malachi 3:18: Then shall ye return and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not. Isaiah 7:22: And it shall come to pass, for the abundance of milk that they shall give he shall eat butter: for butter and honey shall every one eat that is left in the land. The demonic scapegoat is "sin". Leviticus 16:21-22: And Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins. putting them upon the head of the goat, and shall send him away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness: And the goat shall bear upon him all their iniquities unto a land not inhabited: and he shall let go the goat in the wilderness. Romans 8:16-17: The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. John 8:34: Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. I John 3:8: He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
The Body, Temple of God, House of the Spirit
In death only the body dies. The spirit goes back to God, because by definition, death is the absence of the spirit. Satan has the power of death, and the body is defenseless against demons. Hebrews 2:14: Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil. Only God can prevent demons from misusing and possessing us. Job 1:9-12: Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou host blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath and he will curse thee to thy face. And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord. Spirits will be destroyed only on doom's day and not a whit sooner. Luke 12:4-5: And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him. Isaiah 57:16: For I will not contend forever neither will I be always wroth: for the spirit should fail before me, and the souls which I have made. Matthew 18:12-14: How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine and goeth into the mountains and seeketh that which is gone astray? And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray. Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish. Ezekiel 18:4: Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die. James 2:26: For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. II Corinthians 5:1-6: For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved. we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: if so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. For we that are in this tabernacle do groan being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. Therefore we are always confident, knowing that whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord. Ecclesiastes 3:21, 12:7: Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth? Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it. Mark 14:38: Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak. John 5:25, 6:63: It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. Verily. verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live. I Corinthians 15:43-44,49: It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised a spiritual body. And as we have born the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. John 4:23-24: But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.
The Spirit of Man is God's Son
Spirit is not breath. Isaiah 57:16: For I will not contend forever, neither will I be always wroth: for the spirit should fail before me, and the souls which I have made. burden of the word of the Lord for Israel, saith the Lord. which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him. Isaiah 42:5: Thus saith God the Lord, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out, he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein. Isaiah 42:5 tells you the plain truth. The idea that breath and spirit is the same is an erroneous presumption by men who could not understand the parable about the creation. Mark 4:13 And he said unto them. Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know a]] parables. I Corinthians 2:14: But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them. because they are spiritually discerned. John 7:24: Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment. When God created man. he created him in his spiritual image. God is a spirit, and not flesh and blood although he has the power to transform us from glory to glory. Hebrews 2:6-7: But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him? Thou modest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honor, and didst set him over the works of thy hands. Romans 8:21: Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. II Corinthians 3:18: But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. The body is only the house of the spirit which was created first. The birth of Christ shows us the technic by which Mother Wisdom birthed every man. She simply raises the flesh of Her daughters' bodies around Her own baby spirits. Because of the enemy in the body, flesh does not obey God. It is the spirit that hears and obeys when God comes knocking at our door. Romans 8:4-5,7-8: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. John 10:27: My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. Mark 14:38: Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak. John 3:6, 6:63: it is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. That which is born of the flesh is flesh. and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Luke 17:20-21: And when he was demanded of the Pharisees when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, the kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, Lo there! for, behold. the kingdom of God is within you. Matthew 7:17-18, 13:37-38: He answered and said unto them He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one. Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me. And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him and the child was cured from that very hour. Ecclesiastes 1:15: That which is crooked cannot be made straight: and that which is wanting cannot be numbered. Luke 9:51-56: And it came to pass, when he time was come that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem, And sent messengers before his face: and they went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans to make ready for him. And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem. And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them even as Elias did? But he turned and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of. For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives but to save them. And they went to another village, I Timothy 2:3-6. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior who will have all men to be saved and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
ERRORS HAVE BEEN MADE by men who understand only the natural aspect, or the appearance of things. I Corinthians 2:14: But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. John 7:24, 8:15: Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment. Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man. Paul knew that all men were subject to error, because of the time element in revealing parables; he taught his people to hold darkness loosely. Isaiah 9:2: The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined. I Corinthians 13:8-12: Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. When I was a child, I spake as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself, but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. Revelation 10:7: But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished as he hath declared to his servants the prophets. I Timothy 3:16: And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. Psalm 50:21: These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes. Isaiah 29:24: They also that erred in spirit shall come to understanding, and they that murmured shall learn doctrine. Paul did not understand all things of the spirit because God was not ready in his day. Observe II Corinthians 12:2-7: I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven. And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) How that he was caught up into Paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter. Of such an one will I glory, yet of myself I will not glory, but in mine infirmities. For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me. And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. I Corinthians 15:46-49: Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly: Parents do make mistakes about prophets not discerning clearly the will of God. Genesis 49:1,5-7: And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days. Simeon and Levi are brethren; instruments of cruelty are in their habitations. O my soul, come not thou into their secret; unto their assembly, mine honor, be not thou united: for in their anger they slew a man, and in their self-will they digged down a wall. Cursed be their anger, for it was fierce; and their wrath, for it was cruel: I will divide them in Jacob, and scatter them in Israel. Ezekiel 8:7-12: And he brought me to the door of the court; and when I looked, behold a hole in the wall. Then said he unto me, Son of man, dig now in the wall: and when I had digged in the wall, behold a door. And he said unto me, Go in, and behold the wicked abominations that they do here. So I went in and saw; and behold every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel portrayed upon the wall round about. And there stood before them seventy men of the ancients of the house of Israel, and in the midst of them stood Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan, with every man his censer in his hand; and a thick cloud of incense went up. Then said he unto me, Son of man hast thou seen what the ancients of the house of Israel do in the dark, very man in the chambers of his imagery? for they say, The Lord seeth us not; the Lord hath forsaken the earth. Deuteronomy 33:8-11: And of Levi he said, Let thy Thummin and thy Urim be with thy holy one, whom thou didst prove at Massah, and with whom thou didst strive at the waters of Meribah; Who said unto his father and to his mother, I have not seen him; neither did he acknowledge his brethren, nor knew his own children: for they have observed thy word, and kept they covenant. They shall teach Jacob thy judgments, and Israel thy law: they shall put incense before thee, and whole burnt sacrifice upon thine altar. Bless, Lord, his substance, and accept the work of his hands: smite through the loins of them that rise against him, and of them that hate him, that they rise not again.
Demonic Possession is a Tragedy
Hebrews 2:10-14 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, Saying. I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee. And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me. Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood. he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil.
Galatians 3:16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, and to seeds, as of many; but as of one, and to thy seed, which is Christ.
Matthew 13:38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the
wicked one.
John 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Isaiah 14:18, 43:7, 45:11-12 Thus saith the Lord, the Holy One of Israel and his Maker. Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me. I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded. Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory. I have formed him; Yea, I have made him. All the kings of the nations, even all of them lie in glory, every one in his own house.
Luke 3:6 And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.
Isaiah 52:10 And all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of God.
Joel 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.
Genesis 3:14-15 And the Lord God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise they head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
Luke 24:37-39 But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit. And he said unto them Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.
Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Revelation 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. Hebrews shows us that Christ took on the nature of God's sons, but before that happened, Satan had raped the world.
Isaiah 10:12-14, 47:1,6-7 Wherefore it shall come to pass, that when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks. For he saith, By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the bounds of the people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant man: And my hand hath found as a nest the riches of the people: and as one gathereth eggs that are left, have I gathered all the earth, and there was none that moved the wing, or opened the mouth or peeped. Come down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: there is no throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shall no more be called tender and delicate. I was wroth with my people. I have polluted mine inheritance, and given them into thine hand: thou didst shew them no mercy, upon the ancient hast thou very heavily laid thy yoke. And thou saidst, I shall be a lady for ever: so that thou didst not lay these things to thy heart, neither didst remember the latter end of it.
Ezekiel 35:10-11 Because thou hast said, These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess it; whereas the Lord was there: Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord God. I will even do according to thine envy which thou hast used out of thy hatred against them; and I will make myself known among them, when I have judged thee.
Isaiah 14:13-23 Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities. For I will rise up against them, saith the Lord of hosts, and cut off from Babylon the name, and remnant, and son, and nephew, saith the Lord. I will also make it a possession for the bittern, and pools of water: and I will sweep it with the besom of destruction, saith the Lord of hosts. All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house. But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that do down to the stones of the pit; as a carcass trodden under feet. Thou shalt not he joined with them in burial because thou hast destroyed thy land, and slain thy people: the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned. They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms; That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners? For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
Isaiah 28:9-12,15-19 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people, to whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear. Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves: Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste. Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet; and the hall shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place. And your covenant with death
shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it. From the time that it goeth forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night; and it shall be a vexation only to understand the report.
Ezekiel 20:33-39 As I live, saith the Lord God, surely with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out, will I rule over you: And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out. And I will bring you into the wilderness of the people, and there will I plead with you face to face. Like as I pleaded with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I plead with you, saith the Lord God. And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant: And I will purge out from among you the rebels and them that transgress against me: I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am the Lord. As for you, O house of Israel, thus saith the Lord God: Go ye, serve ye every one his idols and hereafter also if ye will not hearken unto me; but pollute ye my holy name no more with your gifts, and with your idols.
Hosea 13:14 I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death; 0 death, I will be thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction; repentance shall be hid from mine eyes.
Psalms 2:8, 82:8, 94:14 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. For the Lord will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance. Arise, O God,
judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.
Isaiah 2:2 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall Mow unto it.
Hebrews 12:22-26 But ye are come unto mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn. which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel. See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven: Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
I Corinthians 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory.
Hebrews 2:6-7 But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him? Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honor and didst set him over the works of thy hands.
