Matthew 2:1, "Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, [2] Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him." As we said earlier in this letter, the birth of men in the flesh is the true falling of the stars. When Jesus was born, he was a "super star". Many prophecies foretold of his work. When Jesus fell upon the earth, he did not fall gently. He fell like a "Rock" with great pain upon the heads of the Dragon. Matthew 21:[42] "Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?" At the time of his birth the devils in Herod immediately sought to destroy him to "nip him in the bud". In due time Jesus announced his Father's business in using him: Luke 4:[18] The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, [19] To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. [20] And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. [21] And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears." Psalm 110:[4] ... Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek. [5] The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath. [6] He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the (Dragon's) heads over many countries." The foot of this "super star" came crashing down on the Dragon's head and gave him a deadly wound. Revelation 13:[1] And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. [2] And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. [3] And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast." Mark 5:[7] And (the devil) cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not. [8] For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit." Jesus was the devils' worst "DAYmare" (not nightmare).
Jesus Christ, the Lord is also a shepherd's rod. David wrote in the 23rd Psalm, "The Lord is my Shepherd. I shall not want ... Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me." Isaiah 11:1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: [2] And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; [3] And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears: [4] But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked. John 10:11, "I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep." The "Rod" Jesus also appeared as a serpent to the Jews. On one occasion they told him so: "Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know thou hast a devil," John 8:52. He also was lifted up and nailed to a tree. But, oh the depth of what this means! All who look upon him that day and who shall look upon him now shall live even if they are snakebitten! What does this tell you about all those men who watched him die? That brazen snake Moses made had nothing on Jesus! He himself said, "And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me .... that where I am, there ye may be also ... and he that cometh unto me I will in no wise cast out"! John 6:37, 12:32, 14:3. This super star and JUDGE from the Heavenly Court came down with great power and authority. He came in the name of the Father and the authority of God. As the L - ORD he was God's (EL) ROD and the (L) DOR to the kingdom of Heaven for all sheep, John 10:9. Maybe we should call him a MEGA "star", A GEM "star" because men cannot seem to reach the fullness of his LOVE-stature and the value of his treasure, his LOVE without measure! All men have to do is look (at Jesus) and live! If you have eyes to see, take a good look and live! John 9:39.
